Stand With Ukraine Postdoctoral Fellowship

For postdoctoral researchers from Ukraine whose work has been impacted by the war

The events unfolding in Ukraine have brought sadness and horror to us all at the Donnelly Centre.

We wish to offer our help by supporting a talented postdoctoral researcher whose research career is impacted by the war in Ukraine. The Donnelly Centre has established the “Stand with Ukraine Postdoctoral Fellowship” to support a PhD graduate or junior postdoctoral fellow to pursue research in our high caliber interdisciplinary institute.

The ideal candidate is a highly qualified Ukrainian graduate or junior postdoctoral fellow (within 6 months of graduation or less than 2 years post PhD by the application deadline) in the fields of molecular biology, genetics, functional proteo-genomics, stem cells biology and regenerative medicine, cell signalling or computational biology.

Application requirements:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • one page statement of research interests that includes a narrative describing the impact of the Ukraine crisis on your research
  • names of up to three Donnelly faculty members whose scientific interests match your own
  • unofficial transcript
  • two letters of reference

To apply, forward your complete application package to ccbr.info@utoronto.ca with reference to the “Stand with Ukraine Postdoctoral Fellowship” in the subject line.

The deadline for applications is July 7, 2022. We will support the successful applicant for up to two years with a generous stipend.
