Wishing our community a warm and restorative winter break!

With snow covering the Donnelly Centre’s grounds, it is officially the season to take some time to appreciate family, friends, and the rest that comes with a much-deserved break.

Doing good research is like running a long marathon—you need to pace yourself and rest when needed,” says Stephane Angers, Director of the Donnelly Centre. “With that in mind, I wish the Donnelly community a very happy holiday break to be spent with those who matter most!

The university will be closed from December 24th to January 2nd, to give us time to recoup, regroup, and return with a restored passion in the new year. 2026 will not only bring new research and innovations, but also our Anniversary Research Symposium. This coming May, we will invite the Donnelly community to celebrate our 20-year anniversary by taking a day to highlight the research that has come out of our two decades of discovery.

Until then, we’re wishing everyone in our community and beyond a happy, healthy, and wholly restful break. We’ll see you back at the bench in 2026!
